I can change modes from FM to CD and also scan or change tracks or stations from the steering wheel for the CD and FM, but cannot do this for AM or scanning AM stations. Same for everybody ? Please advise. Thanks, Andrew

I haven't tried scanning AM, but I can jump AM presets with the MFSW controls on my MINI.

 

Do you mean it will not toggle from CD to FM to AM, or that when the radio is manually set to AM, it will not scan or switch presets? Mine will work for both AM and FM, but only toggles between CD and which ever band the radio is presently set for, AM or FM.

Love the buttons, though.

Mine works like yours, toggles from whatever radio band I am in, to the CD...that must be the way it works.....I will inquire next service trip..thanks for reply......

Yep, mine toggles between the band I have it set on (Always AM) then CD then CD Changer. I love these controls too! I wonder how they are linked inside. Certainly it's not a wire that's getting all twisted?

 

Perhaps I'm just not trying hard enough, but does anyone know how to toggle through the cd in the changer by means of the wheel controles? That's the only thing I don't like.
