Ok so I decided to embark on the journey of replacing all my door speakers with new focal components with a 4 channel amp. I followed all the tutorials on the forums to a T and got everything wired up and fit perfectly. Before I ran signal wires to the 4 channel amp, I wanted to test the speakers out to hear how they sounded running off the factory head unit. I turned the car on and the radio came on but no sound from the speakers....

I checked every single fuse under the hood and lower door panel box...none blown.

I even pulled the head unit to check the fuse on the back of it...that one was good too.

I also confirmed that the speakers themselves are in fact getting power so now I am at a loss. Has anyone experienced anything similar to this and if so, how did you fix it? Thank you my fellow motorists!

 

Is there any sound if you reconnect the old speakers?

 

Haven't tried that yet, hopefully I'll get to tomorrow. Once I do, I'll post the results here, thanks for your suggestion

 

did you wire up a remote turn on wire for the amp?
