Audio not working

Hi all,

Recently I've been having trouble with my speakers, as they are not producing any sound.

Quick background: My PASS side window would not roll down. After reading a few threads it seems like the most common solution was to hit the door panel just over the speaker. Tried it and now my window works with no problems, however now my speakers do not work? Whats got me stumped is that as soon as the window went down, the stereo died. The head unit powers on, just no sound to the speakers. I've tried racking my brain, and can't figure out what happened. I suppose it couldnt be a fuse as my HU is still on.

Any suggestions.....is this just something i can 'hit' back into function?

thanks in advance.

For the window: Smacking stuff isn't going to fix it for long. You need to take it apart and do the job properly.

For the audio: do you have H/K?

I've done a few window smacks, and it's been a long term 'fix'.

If you have HK, odds are it's the amp, but as with you, the coincidence with the window working would be suspect.

Im not usually and advocate for hitting things, its worked flawlessly for 4 days now, and seems stronger than my drivers window motor.

I guess what i thinking is, are mini speakers set up in an active circuit and maybe (seeing as how im a muscle bound freak) i punched too hard and disconnected the circuit.

only j/k'ing but....i cant figure it out for the life of me.
