I've got enough sound deadener sitting in my garage to do either the boot floor or under the rear seats - which location would be better for blocking exhuast noise (so that I can more fully enjoy my HK system  )?

My guess would be the floor of the boot. My experience has been that most of the exhaust noise is a function of the placement and size of the tip(s).

Also, you might check into a different rear shelf. My understanding is that the vent was added to later models so the drivers could better hear the exhaust note. If you don't want to hear that, you might want to find one of the earlier, solid shelves.

I would love to trade my non-vented rear shelf for your vented version. Let me know if you are interested.

Thanks, I'll throw a towel over the vent tonight & see if that makes a difference.

zddy97223,

I'll let you know...
