NO. Radio controls are completely different in design. functions are the same but the button layout is much different and with that there would be a lot of interior panel replacements that would have to be made.
May be for just the head unit but when you have to replace a bunch of other items such as interior panels, speedo etc it will get expensive.
Try to find the the HD and Sirius units used in a salvage yard. that would make them cheaper.

I'm trying to sort this out also, but with a slightly different configuration 09 R56 (silver controls )to 2011 R56 (black controls)
It mostly works fine. The factory MIC isn't working right now, but the bluetooth connects to my phone no problem. I just have the radio portion so the cabling for the antennae/amp for the sirius radio is also not operational.
If someone knows how to enable the factory MIC would love to know how. The biggest difference appears to be a digial audio input on the old head unit that the new one doesn't have. I was guessing that was because of the Harman Kardon radio, but perhaps includes the MIC functionality.
Any ideas?

The '09 has fiber and used a BT module so when I installed the new unit the mic didn't work because the new unit has to be hardwired into the plug.. PM me and I'll try to get some info together for you.
Got it working but managed to disable the USB port during an upgrade.
USB and Aux "reanimated" and working now.
