Let's see those speaker boxes!!
I'm looking into adding a sub with part of my tax refund money this year and need some ideas. I want to add a single 10" and I plan to have a highly reputable stereo shop in my area do the work, but I'm unsure as to what/where the box should be. I need some inspiration!
Let's see what you got! |
Anyone?

Integral Audio. Done.

^^^ Very expensive. Had a chance to listen to a MINI with the integral sub in it, sounded good but it was NOT worth the price tag. This is all IMHO of course.
You can find a MUCH better sub/amp and get a custom built box for your car for about $100-300 less than it takes to purchase the integral sub. |
What's in the price? The sub itself. about $350. Amp, about $200, and the box, about $150. That's $700 right there. (OBTW, it's a GREAT sub)...Then there are all the wires, fuses, RCA's, level controller, false floor, mounting brackets... Everything to install it. Great support and instructions.
Can you spec something like it for less? Probably yea, but, I don't know squat about subs, don't want to learn, it was well worth it to me to just buy the damn thing and install it and have it sound great without a lot of tweaking, guessing, whatever.. I have a friend that put together a sub/amp. Futzed with it for weeks. Different boxes, different subs, blah, blah, blah... He was never happy with it and finally, after I installed mine, he ended up buying the sub, box and floor from Kevin...lol And he was a IASCA judge...lol |
Well worth the money for ALL that you get. There is not another sub out there that comes with all the parts (including false floor), GREAT instructions and EXCEPTIONAL help for only about $700.
Of course you can go out an buy a Boss BASS900 or something like that for around $100-$120 but the quality is 100,000 times lower as well. And lets not talk about the sound quality difference. |
