Relocating Head Unit

I've tried searching this but I never find what I'm looking for using the search, so forgive me if this has been discussed...

I had moved my head unit to the glove box. Right now though, its just stitting in there. I never use it. I have an ipod and sirius and aside from adjusting the volume, which I can do on the steering wheel.

I need to figure out how to mount the HU down and make it look decent. Then I plan to add a DIN panel with a gauge, engine start and maybe kill switch in the HU's old location.

Does anyone have any experience or insight into how to best enclose the head unit?
