What's a good portable GPS navigation system for the Mini?
What's a good portable GPS navigation system for the Mini?
Thanks... |
Garmin an Magellen are the best. I have a Garmin nuvi 255wt that I travel the USA with for business....very easy to use.

I've tried the Garmin 265WT and it was nice. I have always preferred Magellan's menu as it gives me more control with less trouble, but the Magellan on/off switch (located on the top left edge) is a bit weak. The Best Buy clerk said it was always broken on their display models whereas the Garmin was like a rock. However, I'm sure you wouldn't break the Magellan if it was yours.
Both are thin, have internal batteries, Bluetooth. Garmin has free traffic reporting for life, though it only works in major metro areas and major inter-city arterials, like many interstates. Tom Tom is too boxy. Others, I can't say. |
Check out the Tom Tom GO 720. Can be had for half off right now. I love mine. Has a very easy menu system and you can actually do your trips from the computer.

+1 on the TomTom (I now have the 740 - $299 at Amazon). They aren't boxy any more. I've now had 3 in a row over the last 6 years or so. The first one was boxy. My wife keeps taking mine, which proves the interface is easy and cool.
