Need help-HU won't turn off w/ignition

I recently installed an Alpine IDA-X100 in my 03 S. I got it from Crutchfield. Their installation instructions include a wiring harness to go from the IDA-X100 to the MINI harness. They say to use an extra red power wire to go from the fuse panel to the IDA-X100 (called "red-12 volts switched power"). Their instructions say to connect the red power wire to "25 amp wiper fuse in the upper left area". There are no 25 amp fuses in the fuse panel. I connected the power wire to the 20 amp wiper fuse in the middle of the panel 5 spaces down (F23). I also connected the SWI-jack for steering wheel control and the KCE-350BT for bluetooth and ran their power wires back to the hu. The CD changer gets it's power from the hu through the Ai-net cable.

With the ignition off I can turn on the IDA-X100 anytime. Not just within 20 minutes after I turn off the ignition like the factory Boost unit but 24/7. The bluetooth unit is also on 24/7 and is draining the battery.
I called Crutchfield and they are at a loss as to why I would have constant power. I checked other posts on this forum and one suggested I try checking the radio fuses to see if one had blown but they both were fine.

Thanks in advance for any help.

According to electrical diagrams, F23 appears to be unswitched (constant on). The switched fuses I know of are all 5 amp: F6, F7, F9, F10, F11, F13, F35, F36, F39, F40. One of those should be okay if the Alpine only uses it to control on/off (not as its actual power source).

Note that the OEM unit will go on at any time - it just has a 20 minute timer so that it will automatically turn off if the ignition is not on.

I think rkw has it right on the switched power source.

Thanks to rkw and Eric. I moved the power wire to F7 and it seems to work fine now. F7 is a 5 amp fuse for wiper Rain Sensor which I don't have. IDA-X100 and KCE-350BT bluetooth unit now turn on and off with ignition.

Thanks for the quick reply
