Do you have your AUX volume on the device itself turned up all the way? And the Aux setting turned up?

I am having no problem with clipping using non hifi to drive Polk MM6501 in fronts and Pol MMC690 in back. I can turn the volume up as loud as I want to and then I don't want it any louder. This is using a USB thumb drive as my music source.

My AUX volume is set to 2 I believe. Im using my IPOD hooked up through the AUX port of the car going to the serial port at the bottom of the IPOD.
