Line Level Converter...HELP

I just got a Line Level Converter

It has 4 input wires, the wires the go to the back of the head unit.

But which wires to I connect the converter to?

Any help would be great. I have the rest of the install taken care of, this is just driving me crazy.

Is this a stock or HK system.

I did an install with a stock system and pulled the signal from the rear speakers into the convertor.

you will see a harmon kardon label on the front speakers if it is not stock. that is what i believe he is asking. or he is probly asking if you have the stock stereo system, not an aftermarket kenwood head unit for example..
yes he means both rear. you have to take the left side and right. 2 from the left (pos and neg) and 2 from the right (pos and neg).

ive never used a line level converter but im pretty sure that is why there is 4 wires.. hope this helps

well if you have a stock head unit and you are only installing an amp and subwoofers or some extra speakers then you should not have to connect anything to your head unit. im not exactly sure of your setup so i could be wrong.

the input into the amp comes from the rear speakers and then the amp will output sound to the speakers.
the amp only needs power a positive a negative and a remote power on which can come from your rear power outlet in the boot..
then the amp needs an input which is from your rear left and right speakers with the line converters going into the amp. then the amp will power which ever speakers you have hooked up to the amps output connectors. im pretty sure this explains it but if you have another setup then i could be wrong. maybe some more details could help

i actually read about this before but i cant find the thread. it showed a picture of someone splicing and running a new set of wires from the head unit to the line levels then to the amp.. it looked like a little flat clip that inserted to where the rear speaker wires go into the connector on the head unit.

well from the head unit to the line converters you can use standard 22 gauge wire.. then from the converters to the amp you can use rca cables.
on the rca cables you cut the 2 connectors on one end off and seperate the 2 wires from each connector that totals 4 wires. one pos and one neg from each connector

when i did mine, i pulled off the passenger rear speaker.I hooked both positive to the pasitive on the speaker, and both negatives to the neg. on the speaker. The rear panel isnt hard to pull out, and that way i didnt have to run rcas all the way from the deck.
