8" IB in 6x9 Location

I've seen it done here before, but cannot find who it was - and the photos. Any help would be appreciated.

I believe I have seen enclosed 8" woofers in that location also.

How many inches of depth are available behind there? I am looking at Image Dynamics ID8V3 to stuff in there.

i think Ian Cull (GB MINI) had it done to one of his cars. it can be done and done well if you make sureu dampen the fender well. IB subs do work good if done right.

Anyone ever use one of those shallow mount 8" subwoofers in the 6x9 spots? Or, anyone have any input as to whether or not they even sound good?
Thanks

You can go pretty deep. I believe there is 6" of depth in there. Get something with 5" or less of depth and you should be alright. Probably something that is designed for Infinite Baffle would be best suited in that area.
