No FM-AM/Ipod/Sirius available for 5 mins every morning

Hi there!
I have an with my stereo system, my MINI is only 2 weeks old, the issue is: almost every morning when I turn my MINI on, or with the key on for the fist 5 minutes I can't play any music, if I go to Satellite radio it displays "Sirius" for a few seconds and then it automatically switches to Aux, if I go to FM/AM tuner it does the same thing, no presets are available and it goes to Aux, If I plug in my ipod it stays in Aux and it doesn't read it.

It only seems to happen when the car has been parked and totaly off for more than 8 or 9 hours.
I start driving and after about 5 minutes; whatever station I had on last time I used it all of the suden starts playing.

I really don't know what's going on. Has anyone else ever had this issue?
I have the "HI-FI" audio system on a 08 Cooper S.

Thanks!

You probably do not want to hear this but you are going to have to take it back to the dealer and leave it so that they can see what is happening. It sounds like the CCC (central computer controller), or one of the other computers it controls for radio/aux in is not working properly. If i remember correctly there are 5 computers that have some control over the sound system in the car. It all depends on which options you have as to which ones are installed.

here is a list of possible items that could be causing the problem.

1.ULF Control Module
2.RAD2 - Radio connects to ULF
3.M-ASK - Multi Audio System Controler
4.CCC - Car Communications Computer
5.CID - Central Information Display
6.Controler - Controls the M-ASK and CCC on the CID

There are also other items that may cause the problems you are hearing/not hearing but the above are directly linked to the sound system.

Great, I'm hoping it's just a software update but I don't think so. It sucks to know its only 2 weeks old and its already having problems

Thx for the info! I'll call service today.
