Satellite Radio: XM XpressRC

Has anybody installed this line of XM radio in their Mini? I'm wondering if its an easy install, if the sound quality is good, if you used the mini's built-in antenna, power and line-in----the typical questions. I'll include a PDF of the unit from the XM website.

Looks really nice. I typically listen the ESPN, News and sports Channels--not much music. I'd be putting it into my new Clubman. Thanks!

Looks like a good one. I use a RoadyXT in my GS300 and an XM Direct with the Mini.
I chose the XM direct so I wouldn't have anything mounted externally in the Mini. I wanted a nice clean factory look.
In my GS I was able to mount the RoadyXT in such a way that it is barely noticeable to anyone until you point at it and tell them that it's the tuner. I couldn't fine a way to do that in the Mini, so I went XM Direct.

Unfortunately, the XM Direct won't work in the 2007/2008. My Clubman should be in very soon, so I'll figure out how I'm going to install the Xpress RC once I get it.

Hey guys.. took these pictures a few weeks back and now just getting to posting - if you look closely, I've used the Belkin Cup Mount for XM receivers to stick the (Audiovox) XM Xpress R (non color) model.

Then ran the antenna wire behind the radio and up through the cracks and tucked the excess wire in the glovebox recess above the opening and ran the remainder of the antenna wire to the far passenger side of my windscreen using the seam in the dash and a-pillar as a means to tuck it away.

And the result of 10 mins of installation labor - the Xpress R matches the Piano Black trim of the MINI Cooper perfectly! Highly recommended!
