Auxillary Input for MP3 Player doesn't seem to work.

Hi all,

My baby's about 2 weeks old, Her name is Sox. All I can say is FUN!!!!!!!

One thing I'm having a problem with is playing my MP3 player thru the radio.

The 07's have a auxillary input jack, but when I connect my MP3 player to it and turn on the MP3 Player I don't hear anything. I have switched the device to "AUX" on the Mini. The MP3 Player is a Creative Zen V Plus. It came with a cable to go from it to the car jack. The jack for the MP3 is smaller the than the Mini's. I also tried using a cable from the headphone jack of the MP3 player to the Mini. both same size jacks.

Thanks,

Which radio??

Base radio or one of the upgrades?

On the base - you are aware there is a sep' volume setting for the AUX port? I haven't played with mine (delivered Tue) but I know it's in there.....

Thanks for replying Capt.

It's the base radio with CD player.

Not sure where the other volume is.

It might just be _really_ quiet. Try turning up the volume on your MP3 player all the way (especially if you're using the headphone jack) and then the auto's volume all the way and see if you have any signal at all.

answers short and long....

talking base radio here

you have two programmable volume features...the auto speed adjust that changes volume based on speed which you can set sensitivity for....

and the volume for 'external devices':

press [audio] } [aux] } [vol-aux] } adjust the volume by turning the selector knob - then press to set...

This is in the radio book sep' from the owners manual  but should be in your pouch.

Dealer told me to turn it up high so then it would work with the radio volume ... like I said I haven't played with it as I'd not much of an MP/iPod person but I understood him to say until it was turned up the standard MP player wouldn't work well..... I guess you are sort of setting a 'base level' for your MP.
