Dinner Downtown with the St Louis MINI Club

In case you haven't seen the thread, the St. Louis MINI Club is coming to Nashville to visit the Lane Motor Museum on April 9th and they have invited us to join them for an afternoon of "ooohing" and "aaahing" over some great cars. And once we're done in the parking lot, we'll go into the actual museum.

I think it would be great if we could all get together and head downtown for dinner that evening and I am inviting the St. Louis MINI Club to join us. Please let me know if you would like to attend so I can get a head count for a reservation and vote on where you would like to go. Choices, so far, are Margaritaville or Big River Grille & Brew Works (outdoor seating and beer!)

Hope you can all make it out!

Will this dinner be in lieu of our normal 1st week of the month meeting?

Yes, since they would be back to back weekends and I know it's hard for some to make arrangements.

Ok that is what I figured. I will look at my schedule and see if I can make it. Work right now does not lead to much MINI fun beside driving to and from work.

If I can't make April though I should be able to do May.

Which place would be quieter? Don't like these places that have loud music. I like to be able to hold a conversation and be able to hear what other people are saying to me or about me. I know, I'm being an old fogie.

Old fogie aka Hal: Neither of these places is any louder than a regular restaurant on a Friday/Saturday night.

I know.

Most of the places we've been to are too loud. I just about lost most of my hearing in one ear and would like to preserve what I have left in the other. I just don't find these noisy places very pleasurable for eating and socializing.

I'll see you all at the Lane Motor museum.

Steve and I are in. And, to make Hal feel better, Steve would agree with his statement if he were sitting here and not me, so I'll agree on Steve's behalf

Outdoor seating might be better since there may be less ambient noise than in a closed in room (not counting all the crazy drunks walking down the street, of course ), and, of course the place with the most protected parking....

Weather permitting Deb & I vote for something with outdoor seating.

Okay peeps. . .my home connection is on the fritz (again!) so I can't get to the FB page. I need to get a head count for the dinner on the 9th. Please post if you plan on attending so I can make reservations.

Need a head count folks. . .making a reservation on Monday. So far I have only heard from Steve & Kimberly, and Hal & Deb. Anyone else coming?

Have at least 6 people from the St. Louis club who have responded, too.
