Not really normal, but there are a few things that you have to remember.
1. American holidays. (like today)
2. German holidays (there are a lot this time of year)

I am also waiting for an update, but I am certain that Don and MTH will get things sorted soon. My original file only took about a week to get but this one is taking a little longer.

I'm not sure what the average turn around time is, but it only took me like four days to receive the tuned files from Don. As a matter of fact, I received my file last week and I purchased it the week before. Since I had to wait on the OBD cable for a couple days that extended the time I had to wait for my tuned files to come. The only thing I can recommend would be to try and contact Don and see what he thinks the problem might be. I'd say it's rather strange that you've had to wait this long. You might want to check and see if he received the files you are supposed to send him to get the tune. I had a problem initially sending my files to Don cause I kept receiving a message that my e-mail did not send due to the recipient address not existing.

I know the wait is difficult, but I can assure you that you will be quite content in the end. After reading so many short reviews regarding what people felt about the MTH tune, I wasn't sure what I was going to expect when I placed my order. I can say now that I'm thoroughly impressed and happy with the changes I have noticed so far with the tune. Overall I think the power band is much smoother (noticeable improvement in low-end torque) and a lot of the quirks I had with the car, like the yo-yo effect and first gear stumble or power loss, have been significantly reduced or are non-existent. Since I have DSC disabled a majority of the time, I can't say I've noticed much in that department, but the increased redline is sure nice. The engine just screams at 7k RPM... sure sounds nice with my Blue Flame exhaust setup, too. Just to give you an idea of what mods I have, here's the list:

Alta Large Top Mount Intercooler
15% Alta S/C Reduction Pulley
0% Alta Lightened Crank Pulley
M7 Segmented Flywheel
Pilo Racing CAI
Blue Flame Exhaust
MTH Tuner File
Power Slot Front Rotors
Helix Steel Braided Brake Lines
Hawk HPS Ceramic Brake Pads
H-Sport Lowering Springs

Given the relatively few mods I've done, I think the MTH tune is a great addition to this type of setup. Now if you have more done, like twin-charge, straight turbo, or the like, you might not notice as big of an improvement as I have.

Thanks for your reply, great mod you have there. I'm driving a stocked MINI One CVT only

Anyhow, I do have emailed Don many times asking for updates or any problem on my Tuner file but he usually replied "...It is in the works...", "...Patience...", "...no need be upset...Hang in there..." and latest is "...MTH-Germany having problems getting me files...(Bcox his email prob and I already created a thread abt this)" ...not very helpful in making sure my file is one week turnaround time as his website claimed!

I don't know how much longer I have to wait and how much longer I can take this! If this week and next week I still not get my file, I'm thinking a refund, possible?

No doubt Don reply email very fast but the turnaround time sucks! Maybe its me only.

You could probably turn DSC back on.

I totally understand, but don't worry. The excitement will come back as soon as you upload the file.

I suppose I could turn DSC back on, but I prefer to have more control over my vehicle and less nanny-assisted devices affecting the dynamics of the car as I drive. There have been a couple of instances on dry days that I go out motoring and I notice the DSC kicks in and causes the MINI to lose power around a turn, with it almost causing vehicles behind me to plow into my rear. I do, however, tend to turn DSC on when I'm driving through the rain and so forth... I've already had one incident the day I bought my MINI that caused me to veer off the road when I lost traction in the rain. I know DSC couldn't really help in that situation, but ever since that incident I'm a little weary about driving the MINI on wet roads. Least DSC gives me a little added comfort that it might be able to intervene before it becomes serious. And in case you are wondering, I was doing the speed limit when I lost traction, I later found out it had to do with the fact one of my rear tires actually had no tread left. When I bought my MINI, or as I like to call him the "Blue Bomber" or "The General", I was so excited to take him home that I didn't do a thorough inspection before I left the dealership. I suppose all that's in the past, though, as he's been mighty fun to drive since then.

you guys got nothin on me:

I ordered a bunch of new files in late July AND I STILL DON'T HAVE THEM.

I don't know if the Aussie distributor is draggin his backside, or the German side of the equation is, but I'm not happy.

I've almost given up - it's some of the poorest customer service I've ever had from any company... :(

Tiaan I can tell you its not me mate - it seems that unless you're doing a high volume of files, you get rubbish turnaround times.

Yep, I gave up on MTH before my year of updates was over. They should make it 2 years since you end up waiting a long time in some cases. While not always the rule, Don had helped me out a few times and the files came in within a a few days to a week. Before, when dealing with MTH directly, I had one point where I waited 6 weeks for an update.

While Don has improved relations on the front end tremendously, MTH still does not have it together on the back side. Its threads like this that continue to reaffirm this.
