Just looked over your club web page and enjoyed reading about your description of driving in Italy. We are members of the Tar Heel MINI Motoring Club based in North Carolina USA. We live in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, about 180 miles (~300 km) east and north of the Dragon. We appreciate your comparison of Italian roads to the Dragon, but consider the 11 miles and 318 curves a pale comparison to driving the roads we have driven on in Italy. We spent a month in Sicily in Sept/Oct of 2006; not intentionally. My wife was involved in a head on collision on a road north of Bronte while traveling around Mt. Etna. Having broken 7 ribs and her sternum, she had to convalesce for 3 weeks after getting out of the hospital. I had to travel to Sicily to assist her. The reason I tell you is just to say how much we enjoyed the people and our forced stay. You are living in a great place with wonderful people.
