The Town of Avon is graciously hosting a multi-tiered event for MINIs in the Mountains this year. The event will be held August 8th at Nottingham Park, starting at 5:30. There will be a "MINI Taste of Avon" consisting of 1$ and 2$ tasting portions highlighting the bounty of the Vail Valley. A beer garden featuring Bonfire Brewing, and Gore Range Brewing ( 2 of the 3 breweriers featured in Friday's Brewery Run) in the park benefitting the EFEC ( http://EFEC.org ) . The purpose of the Education Foundation of Eagle County is to make specific and targeted recommendations to, and to work in conjunction with the Eagle County School district to retain our most qualified teachers, preserve staffing levels, maintain smaller class sizes, conserve and improve one on one student/teacher ratios, and to protect vital programs and curricula that are in danger of being reduced or eliminated.. They will host a two pronged concert in the park also. The concert will feature a "mini orchestra" The Avon Elementary School of Rock led by Avon local and 2013 Grammy Nominee Jake Wolf.
