Good. Always meant to go there one day. Missed my chance when I lived in VA but at the time I owned a Yaris and an F150 and while I'd have enjoyed myself in either....

it's definitely cooper time

I live in NE Atlanta. I can jump on 129 in Gainesville and be at Deal's Gap in a little less than 3 hours. Hwy 129 is a wonderful ride all the way up. I have lost count on how many times I have ridden it. About a dozen different motorcycles, multiple sport cars, and of course the Mini. Any full sized vehicle is a danger on that part of 129. I have not seen a 4-wheeled vehicle stay within its lane on the Dragon yet. There is the "Tree of Shame" and it is a growing reminder of how dangerous the Dragon can be.

The best time to go is during the week. It is too crowded on the weekends. The Tennessee cops also set up speed traps where they have trimmed some of the vegetation so they can laser tag anybody speeding from across some of the ravines. The most dangerous aspect of the Dragon is the jerks who cross the double line taking up the entire road to see how fast they can make a run. Then you have the idiot camera jockeys like Killboy that take pictures of the people running the Dragon - they have cause quite a few wrecks for idiots who try to pose for the shots.

The Dragon is a fun ride but it must be respected. It is a very dangerous road. Anything with more than 4 wheels should be restricted from the road - including any trailers.
