BRG/ Girlracer Women's Only HPDS at Lime Rock Park- September 30, 2010
I thought I would post the following announcement from one of the Lotus forums as it may be of interest to some of you here.
"British Racing Group was founded on a commitment to making motorsports and high performance vehicle ownership accessible to all enthusiasts. To that end, we have established partnerships with some of the world's leading organizations to provide our clients with access to the finest products, venues and driving experiences available. So with a thoughtful eye on the performance car community and experience from our past accomplishments, we are ready to announce a new program to open the joys of premium vehicle and motorsport driving to a larger demographic. British Racing Group is honored to announce a partnership with world renowned online magazine and extremesports promoter, Girlracer™, to produce a new series of motorsport and high performance driving events specifically designed for women. These events will focus on providing women with a unique experience to be immersed in the automotive enthusiast lifestyle in an environment specifically tailored to them. From driver educational events produced by the worlds premier driving school, Skip Barber Racing School, to tech sessions, tours and women's retreats, the program will encompass a wide range of opportunities addressing the needs of all women enthusiasts from the casual driver to the professional competitor. We are proud to announce our first event; The British Racing Group/ Girlracer High Performance Driving School, September 30th, 2010 at the historic Lime Rock Park, Lakeville, Connecticut, USA. This event will be produced by Skip Barber Racing School, the premier name in motorsport instruction. This highly regarded program will provide the inaugural group of women with the chance of a lifetime to experience the world's greatest performance cars at one of the elite venues in North America. With instruction from Skip Barber's industry renowned staff, the women will learn the basic skills of not just automotive racing but also proper street driving techniques while driving BMW M3s, Porsche Caymans & 911s, Lexus IS-Fs and Lotus Elise SCs. The curriculum includes vehicle dynamics instruction combined with autocross, car control and skid pad exercises designed to enhance the existing skills of each driver. Every participant, regardless of experience, will gain practical knowledge applicable to any driving situation from main street to a back country road to a competitive driving event. The normal price for a Skip Barber High Performance Driving School is $1,800. This inaugural event for the British Racing Group/ Girlracer series has been specially priced at just $750 until 9/1/10. We expect this event to fill up quickly so reserve your spot early. Information on discounted lodging at the Interlaken Resort and Convention Center will be sent to those who register for the event. This is a women's only event." To register, follow this link: http://www.shop.britishracinggroup.c...BHPDS93010.htm |
We've extended the lower pricing of $750 for about another week to fill up the last few spots.

A men's run group has been now added. It will be totally separate from the women. I think there are about 2-3 open slots available for the ladies still at this point.
BRG only has 10 spots for the guys available. You can utilize the same link above to register. I'm already signed up and totally psyched! |
A couple of folks from the forum have already signed up and are traveling from NC and VA. BRG still has a few spaces available.
|
Do you have a schedule for the day, Thanks.
