I have been on the market for a tune on my Mini Cooper Turbo S. I have been doing some research and saw that VS Motorsports worked with Evolve and could flash my car. Now my question is this, anyone running Evolve and also anyone have work done at VS Motorsports?

 

I'm actually interested in doing this as well. Only problem is the fact that they don't have a dyno(according to their website). So is it just to flash an off the shelf tune?

 

Its a flash, from what I was told by the sales guy is that they read you DME, send it out to Sal at Evolve, tunes it accordingly and then sends it back to be flashed onto the car. I just got word my hi-flo dp is in from Evolve and going in this week to have them read my DME file and install the cat. Should be interesting

Hmmmmm...I thought you were asking 2 questions, the first of which was whether anyone was running Evolve. I guess I misunderstood the question.

they do not, they use a dyno at Aspec, which I am headed to tomorrow

 

 

So if you don't mind me asking, what was the cost for you to get the Evolve tuned uploaded and dyno?

It seems I could just get the Evolve-R unit and install the tune myself, then run to the local dyno place to get a couple of runs in. However if VS Motorsports actually uses the dyno as part of the Evolve tune, I'd rather go that route.

 

it was 799 for the flash and the dyno I actually paid Aspec
