This listing is for a 2008 Mini Cooper S with about 93k miles. Chili Red/Grey with a 6-speed manual transmission. Car has the rare factory Aero Kit and the plastic fenders over the wheels have been painted to match. Options include auto climate control, cold weather, premium, panoramic moonroof, HIDs and sport suspension. And yes, it has the updated timing chain tensioner.
Besides being my daily driver, it's also seen some track and autocross use and has been maintained as such. I recently moved to Boston from San Antonio and the car has been driven on a few circuits down south, including CotA. New clutch and AGM battery last August, and thousands spent on repairing oil leaks including turbo oil lines, oil pan and valve cover gaskets, cv joint boots, etc. Brake pads are OEM replacement fronts and EBC Yellow rears with about half life left, but I have a brand new set of front and rear EBC Yellow pads that will go with the car. Motul RBF660 brake fluid though it could use a refresh, Redline MTL in the transmission, and car currently has OEM BMW oil, though I switch it out for Mobil 1 15w50 for track use in the summer. Oil changed religiously, I've owned it for about two years and driven about 12k miles but have changed the oil six or seven times.
Modifications include an AFE Pro Dry S air filter, correct VIN matched JCW springs, Koni Yellows, and an NM Engineering rear sway bar. Street wheels are 17X7 BBS RGR forged wheels with 225/45-17 Michelin MXM4 runflats with about 5k miles on them, and track wheels are Konig Tweak'd 16X7 with 225/50-16 Nexen SUR4G tires. Nexens have several autocrosses and track events and feel kinda cycled, but have plenty of meat for lapping sessions or local events. Both sets of wheels also have TPMS sensors.
Other mods include OEM blackline headlight and taillight rings, JCW grille, blackout tape covering the chrome beltline trim, a JCW shift **** with red leather boot, a matching aftermarket red leather parking brake boot and new OEM chrome handle, OEM chrome cupholder rings, and a Mini shorty antenna.
The only issues the car has are a tear in the driver's seat and a crack in the front bumper. Rear bumper has some scratches, there are some rock chips on the front from when I drove the car from Texas to Massachusetts, and someone got frisky with a buffer on the rear hatch and burned through the clear in a couple places. Please see pics. Car had some minor K-mart rash but I had it professionally repaired about a year ago and it hasn't been dinged since. Mileage may change slightly as the car does get driven from time to time. The paint could also use a good detailing, but I'll leave that for the new owner.
No accidents as far as I can tell, and clean CarFax. I have receipts for all the parts purchased and services performed. Current MA tags and inspection, and clean title in hand. I really love the car but it's no longer competitive in its SCCA class and I want a daily that's a little closer to my usual track car. You may be able to find a cheaper R56 Mini somewhere but not one that's in this condition. Sold as-is where is. Any questions please ask. $7000/bo
