HOLY MOTHER OF GOD.
What an incredible thing this is!
Very very interesting how you've maintained GP1415 in a state of suspended animation over these few years, in my mind it is a romantic act of love, wanting to preserve it in pristine condition.
Good luck with the auction!
I'll be watching from afar...

Buying a car with that low of miles is great...if you don't plan on driving it. The first thing you will have to do is replace the tires. Then, depending on where and how it was stored, you will have to replace the rubber/foam parts that have degraded due to age, exposure to oxygen, etc. Also, if the engine hasn't been started and warmed up regularly, problems can arise. If you buy it and drive it, after a few thousand miles, the value will plummet. It is NOT like buying a new car.

George, how often did you run the car to bring it up to operating temp? Have fluids been changed?

Would be fun to own this. Not really a "brand new car", more like "new old stock".
Good luck with sale! Can't wait to see the price.

After reading all the "sad waste" comments due to the car not being driven, I was glad to see a better perspective put into light,

This is perhaps the first super low mileage auction that I understand the seller preserving the car. My question would be why sell now!"

@JackMac - Hope all is well. I've replaced/siphoned the couple of gallons of fuel every two years with fresh fuel + fuel stabilizer and battery at year 6 and two weeks ago. Shes been started yearly.
@WayMotorWorks - Hi! there is one online with 28k miles for $28k. Don't forget the GP is the only Modern Mini that was immediately classified as a Classic by NADA and if you look up the values, its pushing $30k. Good luck if you decide to sell yours.
@Oldboy_Speedwell - yes, i was glad to see the supporting comments by those who are truly interested in the car over the opinions of those with no interest in the car.
@Goldsmithy - You are correct on the tires, they should be replaced if driven seriously. if you've read the ad and how it was stored in the Carcoon you'd realize it was stored in optimal conditions and no rubber will need to be replaced. Even if someone was to drive it,with moderate mileage, it would not plummet. The R53 GP after 12 years on NADA Collectors values is still $30k unlike the R56 GP which lost $10k in 6 months.
Hopefully the person who successfully wins the auction will be a collector minded individual who will take care of it and not someone who wants to drive into the ground as there are 400 plus examples for that.

Buyer wanted it, knows what they are getting and pays the price. A sucker would have been someone who bought that and then found somehow the odometer was tinkered with and the car had 100,000 miles on it.
