MINI Cooper S with JCW GP KIt for sale

Brand New MINI GP for sale. 40 miles. Number 301. Picked up in New York on Tuesday. The car is too flashy for my wife to drive in NYC. I love the kit but she drives it more. We will order a new Mini Cooper S with JCW today. The car is brand new! It is parked in the garage until it sells. You can get it for what I paid for it. $33644. I won't ask for a premium like a dealer. I just want the car to be owned by someone who really wants it and will get the most out of it. This is a real offer.

I have the window sticker, bill of sale etc, etc. Call me at (914) 548-7101 or e-mail me at lcf@usa829.org.

I have listed it on autotrader.com and am giving the MINI lovers on this site a first opportunity.

NO DEALERS PLEASE. I will sell to a true MINI lover not to a dealer as a DEALER.

I wish I could. But good for you to offer it to the enthusiast community. It would be a shame for a car like this to have an owner that isn't truly appreciative.

Someone should show this to that guy who was trying to charge $4000 for his production slot, but you still gotta wonder, who drops $34K on a car, drives it 40 miles and then decides it isn't right...

Uh . . .someone with a lot of money? Or maybe just some poor fellow trying to keep his wife happy? If this were a "normal" car (i.e. no speculation going on) he'd be taking a beating right about now in "drove it off the lot" depreciation. Fortunately for him, this car is hot (right now) so he can probably get what he put into it (and more if he wanted to be a speculator).

Agreed, about the hot car and the price he will get. Man I wish my wife was that concerned about keeping me happy . This week she gave me an extra $20 in my weekly allowance !

Answer to various questions about my MINI GP

It seems that some of you have a problem with the fact that I'm selling a car that is three days old. I made the mistake not you, so what? I bought a car that was to be a dream come true and it turns out to be an attractive nuisance. My wife drives the car to work in NYC every day. In three days she has had 4 episodes of "Boy racers" trying to goad her into a race. Why should she be happy with that type of attention? The aero package and spoiler are too much "in your face for her to drive in NYC". Again it is our problem not yours. We had a 2003 Mini Cooper S which we drove the wheels off. Preferring it on many occasions to our BMW M3. We plan to get a normal looking MINI Cooper S with JCW next. Since it is more "under the radar" it will be less likely to attract unwelcome attention from arrested development drivers. we both spend much time at the track on track days and I race in the Skip barber race series so we know our way with cars. We would love to keep the GP for track days and weekends out of NYC but do not have that option. So the car is for sale. The deal is genuine. And your opinions about me, my motivations, my bank account and my wife are in general and as a whole meaningless. MAKE AN OFFER, BUT PLEASE SPARE ME THE PSYCHOLOGY. This was offered here because I thought that Mini drivers would appreciate having an opportunity to have first crack at a new car with no markup. Guess I was wrong.

Nope it is a kit as built by MINI as a special edition. No options allowed.

Wish I could help you with this one, but we've reached our limit!

Props on offering this at the price you paid, speaks volumes of your character, and sorry that you've had to endure the speculation of others. I hope you find a true MINI fan and not someone looking to make a quick buck.

Look forward to seeing the then new one!

BTW my brother is in the business up in the NE, don't know which local but small world!

Again, good luck with the sale

I went through a period of wanting to sell my GP for the same reason. The car does attract every Neon and Civic on the street that has an ironing board strapped to the trunk.

Good luck with your sale, it won't take long for it to go at that price.

Glad you kept it, Fuzzy!

Wish I could help. Too soon for me. That MINI will fly at MRSP this year, don't worry about it.

Hi there! Actually I did get rid of it, Aprilwhine has it as her car now. She is the better driver, so she gets more out of it.

She has track school in it next weekend, then autocross the next day.

Hi Smokey, Fuzzy said I needed to visit this thread.

[hijack] We're not going to be at the Dragon next year, we are probably going to take the early retirement offer at work and move west. But next time you're in Vegas, I can guarantee you a ride down the strip in a GP [/hijack]

Now back on topic, you are doing a very nice thing to offer the GP at list. Good luck with the sale.

To those of you asking questions about the equipment, do try to keep up. The specs have been known for a year now. Go to the MINIUSA web site and look up what a fantastic car this is.

chlimini, don't worry about too much about a few random people criticizing, they shouldn't be because they don't fully understand your situation. I completely know where you're coming from, driving a car in the City can be pretty brutal so it doesn't make sense to allow it to get beat up on the smooth serene streets of NY Even though I am not in a position to buy your GP I still highly appreciate you offering it to MINI owners as I'm sure there's someone here that will be interested. And if you're feeling generous I'd be happy to trade my 06 Cooper straight across for the GP

Mini GP is Sold

Many thanks for the support and encouragement from several of you in recent posts to this thread. As it turns out we sold the GP on Saturday and if all goes well the transfer will occur tonight. As I stated I let the car go for the exact amount I paid for it...to a MINI Lover. We have a new MINI Cooper S with JCW ordered and expect to receive it in a while.

We are proud to own and drive Mini's and delighted that a MINI fanatic will own the NEW GP. I just was not the car for us in our present situation.

Congrats on both accounts. I'm glad the GP went to a MINI lover and I'm sure you'll be pleased with the new one when it arrives...

Congrats and I hope the wait isn't long for the new one.

And just to end the rabid speculation out there; No I didn't buy it :~)
