Blue book doesn't list JCW, how much...

I have an 05 JCW with the factory options listed below. I'm trying to find out what the car is worth with 56,000 miles on it. It's a company car and I want to buy it and leave it for the track only.

Edmusnds and Blue book do not list JCW as an option, so I cannot come up with a proper value. Condition; typical stone chips from a highway type car.

Any ideas from you car sales people type folk?

in most cases, mod's dont really add to the fair market value. the JCW however is an exception as it can be installed at the factory and warrantied.

Take the depreciation of your car and apply the same depreciation rate to the JCW....say 20% decrease in price excluding JCW. (say 25k new, worth 20K now) then your JCW is woth about $5600 now from $7000 new...

That is going to be on the high end though since options depreciate much faster than the car itself but It will give you a reasonable starting place

I don't think you can expect to recover anything on the labor it cost to install the kit

True....I guess I was thinking of the factory installed price you pay now. I don't know for sure if that was available in 05....If it was dealer installed then yes factor out the labor

Don't be too sad....Even the much praised and heralded MCS seems to be worth hardly anything over a MC (a subject that I have whined about a bit:wink: )
