No1 JCW For Sale with Extensive Provenance

I have for sale the first ever New Mini to have been built by John Cooper and to bear the "Works" badge and bears the engine plate no.1.

It has a web site dedicated to it at:

http://web.mac.com/joconnelly/iWeb/Mini/

All photos, including the press and magazine shots on our site are of the actual car that is for sale here. It is a unique car and is the only one like it in the world.

The car was used extensively by Mike Cooper and was the first Works Press car in the world. It has been featured on 4car, Fifth Gear and had a mention on Top Gear. It made the front cover of Autocar and Auto Express, has two half-page photos in the book New Mini published by Haynes and was also featured on the front of the John Cooper brochure and website. All history can be verified by telephoning John Cooper Works and speaking to Mike Raven.

The car is in immaculate condition having been maintained by Chandlers BMW and detailed by John Cooper Works. As he always does, Mike Cooper has kept his number plate and the car currently bears A11 WMC or “All Works Mini Cooper” For those in the UK, this plate may be available by separate negotiation. Mike also kept his wheels, so the car currently has standard wheels on it, although ones identical to Mike’s can be bought from John Cooper Works for $2,670 including tires.

The car is available for viewing in West Sussex in the UK and is priced at £16,500 or $29,000 approx). We have also listed it on www.eBay.co.uk so you could take a look there too, item number 4633046265.

Shipping worldwide can be arranged if needed but is not included in the price.

Please let me know if you have any questions at joconnelly@gmail.com

It seems to be extremely difficult to import a car (permanently) into the US that wasn't built to US spec: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=10334
