Feeler, what's a fair price for a very clean 05 MCS w/ 20K miles(NY)
Very clean 05 MCS w/ 21,500K miles(NY)
The car is an 05 MCS, Pure Silver with space grey pleather, sports package with chrono package, 21k miles, warranty till July of 09 and JCW aero kit, JCW exhaust and JCW suspension. This car has new tires, no curb rash on wheels, not one dent or ding everything is 110% in and out and every recept for the JCW stuff and all services done at Haberstad Mini are with the books in the glove box.
I let her go for $22,500, this is a must see super clean MCS
PS. I am in Sea Cliff, NY 11579
Thanks,
Michael S.

I bought 2 months ago an 2005 MCS, all packages, no JCW, but only 11k miles and I only paid $18k in Pittsburgh. The week before some lady sold hers (same exact car) here in Pittsburgh for $15k w/ 33k miles..........man did I almost cry when I missed that deal!
I would give you 18k all day long, nice car!

I've been watching used MINI prices for 5 years now... and can basically say they are all over the map... MINI's have been histoically difficult due to the high demand early in their life which skewed used-values more than a little. Remember, a base '05 MCS started under $20K but could easily optioned up to $40K or more. Combine that with comparitively low numbers and you have an incredibly wide range of used car prices.
A price guides is simply that: a guide... which represents an average of low to high sale prices in a given area... no more... no less... and it is NOT written in stone.
I've seen cars with insanely low asking prices sit for weeks... and I've seen cars with prices that made me laugh sell within days. There are simply too many variables in options, market, selling area and how quickly YOU need to sell... Therefore, asking any of us will not really give you an accurate number. Non-owners looking to buy will say it's worth nothing... Current owners will say it's worth a lot...
So seriously, go to the guides (NADA, KBB, Edmunds) and see what they say and start from there. In the end, the car is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. No more. No less.

The car is 2005 MCS, sport package, sport s-light wheels, xenon lights, chrome interior trim, sport chrono display, I-pod adapter, JCW suspension, JCW aero kit, JCW exhaust. The car got new rotors, and pads on all 4 wheels within the last 1000 miles.
That covers most of what is in the car along with the pictures that are posted.
I started the thread as a feeler because a friend that’s thinking of selling his r56.
My intention was to take the money from my car (if sold) and use it toward my friends 2007 r56, however he's still not sure if he wants to sell his. I'm not ready to part with my car yet, however If someone came to me with an offer that I cant turn down $22,500, then I would let it go and put the proceeds towards the purchase of a new JCW r56 (I saw a red one at Haberstad Mini this morning, and wow)....
Not to discourage anyone, but my car is not for the barging hunter. This car is for the person that has or is looking for a pure silver 2005-2006 r53 hard top with the options that I have.
It is super clean…. The car has no dings, no curb rash, everything on the car is like new and it still has one year of warrantee, and comes with all service records, it has new breaks and rotors on all 4 wheels (less then 500 miles on pads and rotors and around 3,500 miles on tires). I have an extra set of BMW/ Mini front pads new in the box that will go with the car. It's a great ride and needs nothing but a great home.

It was covered under the factory free maintenance program.
I am sure the car only needed rear pads (if that, the light never came on), but why question it since it was no $ out of pocket and the free maintenance was funning out I did not ask any questions. If you are intrested in the car I can provide all recipets.
