2005 MCS Prices

I just bought an 05 MCS (July 4th weekend) with every package and 12K miles and in outstanding condition (everyone I show it to thinks it's brand new) as well and paid $18,500. Having said that I bought it from a friend in Texas who was just about to turn it in on a lease. I had been looking for 6 months and hadn't found anything remotely as nice anywhere close to this price. I looked at one from a broker that was 05, mostly loaded, 36K miles but the paint was in bad shape and he wanted $21.5K and that was the closest I could find in price. I saw several others that more closely compared in miles and condition and they ranged from $23K to 25K. None of the ones I looked at had any JCW mods. I generally felt like I got a very, very good deal.

Thnaks for the info. With that said it looks like my asking is price ($22,500) is rather fair.
Congrats on your great deal and new ride! They are super cars.

From the pictures I saw I would say your price is fair too. I would have given it serious consideration had I been in the area. Are you getting a new Cooper or getting out of the MINI game?

I started the post because a friend was thinking of selling his r56. He dose not like having a small car, if he dose decide to sell, I would be happy to take it.

However I was at the dealership on Saturday and saw the 08 (or 09) MCS with the factory JCW kit, wow that is some ride.... So if mine gets sold @22,500 I will first try for my friends car (I can always add the JCW stuff as I have done to mine) or just splurge on the new one...

I am sure the car only needed rear pads (if that, the light never came on), but why question it since it was no $ out of pocket and the free maintenance was funning out I did not ask any questions. If you are intrested in the car I can provide all recipets.
Free is always good.
