FS: 2006 Mini Cooper S Convertible in Los Angeles area

My wife and I are selling our 2006 Mini Cooper S convertible. We LOVE this car but with an 8-month old baby it is not practical for us. The Orange Metallic color is only available on the convertibles. This is a really sharp car with the white stripes and chrome exterior. We get positive comments from strangers all the time.

Only 12350 miles!

Here are the specs, straight from the window sticker (you will get a ton of paperwork with the car -- we are the original owners):

Hot Orange Metallic color
Gray Leatherette with Black Interior
Premium Combo #1: multifunction steering wheel w/ cruise, chrome interior, center arm rest, auto A/C, on-board computer, harmon/kardon premium sound system.
Interior surface in body color
White bonnet stripes (racing stripes)
Chrome line exterior
Heated front seats (nice in a convertible!)
6-speed manual transmission.
European-only parcel shelf installed under driver side dashboard.

Still under the original 3 year/36k full maintenance program. That means FREE maintenance! And of course still well within the original 4 year / 50k mile factory warranty (expires April 2010).

Also has LoJack installed.

Tags were just renewed until April 2009!

Here is a flickr set of pictures of the car.

Asking $24k or best offer.

Located in Burbank, California.

Well took it to CarMax today (bleah). Their offer: $20500. I'm sure they will turn around and put a $25k price sticker on it (and someone will pay it), so here's your last chance to get a good deal on a fast Mini convertible in time for summer.

I have had some interest but nothing locked-in yet. If not sold in the next week then CarMax gets it and all the cool stuff like the original paperwork and window sticker will disappear (I don't think CarMax cares about that stuff).
