Oh and I apologize for not adding a lunch stop. I don't eat lunch so I assume no one else does.

Thanks

This was our 2nd YY. We had a great time & already are looking forward to next year. The back roads & scenery were awesome. Many/most destinations were previously unknown to us. We have desire to return again, soon.

The restaurant where David & Nancy were stationed looked like an interesting place to go. Has anyone that's gone there, recommend it?

Thank you Tina, Kim, Nancy, Chuck, David & Don for a great time.

Thank you to the rest of us for allowing the Bush Team to be picked "most average"!

Mike & Sarah

Wow, flickr uploads are done from my pictures.

Here is a slideshow link to YY08 on Flckr. Thanks Chuck for setting up the group.

Mike, no I have never had the pleasure of dinner at the restaurant on Hwy 66, I think it might be time to check it out, they open late (5:30) and only for a couple of hours.

I heard it was a great drive from Mike. I want to extend my thanks to whoever gave him a ride and hope he helped out as much as he could. We are very excited about getting this published in the next issue. Be sure to let us know of all your upcoming events so we can be there in force.

I had drove the "media car" (purple MINI) with Mike and his gear. Now MINI5280 can boast that we deployed a media team to this year's event. Glad to be of service. We hope to see Mike and EuroBerge.com on future club events (click here for our event calendar). We look forward to the next issue of EuroBerge!

Music Quiz Answer Sheet

Remember - The only correct answer for scoring purposes was the answer we chose. If find a different answer - give yourself another point.

This was our first event, and we had a lot of fun. We got quite lost (never did find Sleepy Hollow), so I guess we've officially had the Yalla Yalla experience =D. Myself and my co-pilots will definitely attend again next year.

Many thanks to all involved!

Thanks to all the "new" folks that participated this year!!! Please join us for meetings & other fun events that we do often!!
I still think we all need to make fun name tags to wear on rides so we all get to know each other!! ") Any other ideas for "ice breakers"?!

Answers to the route B?

Where was the Taxi Stop?

Where were we going to take our buddies?

Where were we supposed to turn south from Eisenhower to get to 20?

Just a few things that made us last in

Chuck-
Any chance our scores can be posted? All we know is we didn't finish 1st, but got a fair number of questions correct. Would like to know where we stand with the rest of the entrants. Thanks for putting on a fun event!

I'll work on a spreadsheet with the scores. I also need to post the answers to the route quiz.

Where is the TAXI STAND? (A sign on the mail box at 9285)

A steady Breeze in the tops of the tall trees...What is this place where you can take your buddies? (Whispering Pines Pet Ranch)

Find the president's blvd again and carefully turn left. Where you can salvage your auto is right where you want to be. (there was a sign for an auto salvage to turn right at. No picture.)

OK so I'm an air-head. I missed writing down the winner of First to Arrive. I know that Kendall was first in but we actually gave it to the person that came in with him.
So who was it? Who was the speed demon that broke every land-speed record to arrive at the finish of Yalla Yalla before everyone else (except Kendall & Dianne)? No repercussions I promise, just want to get it straight in the newsletter.

Well I think that was Kathy and I, I got there right after Kendall and Rick Gonzales. I am pretty sure Rick had cheater notes to help get photos for Euroberge so I don't know if that counts.

I hung around for maybe 15 minutes and then had to go because I had a photo shoot to do back up in Boulder. So unfortunately I didn't get to participate in any of the other fun times.

That well may be true Mike since you guys beat me to the finish. However I believe we awarded the First to Finish prize to someone else. Perhaps because you had left or perhaps because the others that finished with you saw someone else come in too. I can't be sure but when I asked I was given a different person. But I did hand out a prize for the First to Finish which was a glass cleaning kit to help see the road better while speeding. If you want to contest this decision, come to the next meeting and we'll see what we can work out.

Mike (EuroBerge photog) and I (driver) arrived right after/behind Kendall/Diane, but we had cheat notes and were not eligible anyway. We did not answer questions or turn in any contest sheets -- only door prize tickets. I don't remember the names of the first finishers (who were out getting food when we actually arrived). I suppose a mandatory lunch stop may have helped slow us (and the others) down. It was fun seeing people's faces (and smiles) as they drove past us.
