youll be really hard pressed to find a used one for really any cheaper than that thing on ebay (unless you want to go in on a set of 2 of these things... https://www.ebay.com/itm/MINI-JCW-AE...53.m1438.l2649 ... shipping for the extra one is only 50 bucks, but i dont know what it would cost to get the other one to you / me (shipping from GA to PA or vice versa).
only reason i say this, is because im in the same boat, my bumper is split in half (and have been looking for a new aero bumper as well for quite some time). if you do the plastic weld thing, please let me know what Rod you use (you have to match the type of Rod to the same type of plastic you are welding, ie: our bumpers)... as i was thinking of going the plastic weld route as well.
as an alternative, ive seen good results doing the "zip tie and fiberglass" method (drill holes, zip tie it together, fiberglass it, sand, filler, paint). i may end up going this route in the end.
If one were to order one of those Ebay options; it looks like I'd also need a grill insert along with the faux grill that sits in the bumper. Where would I get those? Don't currently have an aero kit but considering that route for my chili red r53.
A young girl hit me Friday. Tore my cover and bent my hood. Does this cover take on mtr trim from my current bumper? Sellers on EBay want new $ for old parts.
Only the side markers and fog lights will transfer over. None of the other standard trim or grilles will fit on an Aero bumper. In addition, the Aero bumper requires two additional mounting brackets, which can still be purchased from the dealer.
Also, from the 3 piece mesh grille used with the Aero bumper, only the bottom part is still available. The upper bonnet grille and mid-bumper grill are now NLA.
