Update on the roof rack. They are for the second gen r56 minis.

 

How do you distinguish 1st v 2nd gen for roof rack?

I'm interested in a package deal on the base carrier, (just the cross bar part, I don't need the bike rack attachments), the sway bar and the dipstick.

Hi Joe,
The first gen oem roof rales bolt directly to the roof using a kit that drilled holes in the roof. It was kinda crazy. When I had a first gen it had roof cut for the oem rales but never had the kit for it though. The second gen clipped to the drip rails. which in much easier. Let me see if I can find a box big enough for all the items you want and get you a shipping quote.

Yeah sorry I wish the fourth wheel was salvageable. If you take to a rim shop they may be able to fix but not sure what that would cost and may not be worth the repair. The rim hit the curb in the accident and broke pretty bad. The run flat funny enough did't take damage. The snow tires are in great shape and run flats. If you wanted the set I am negotiable. I consider it snow tires with free rims

I am positive it will fit. The body styles are identical . The rales come with all the instructions including the clips to cover the area the rales clips too when you remove the rales. When you look at the instructions it tell how to find the spot with some little tools that is basically a slip of plastic you use to feel the trim above the drip rails to an area that precut from the factory then you use a pair of tweezers to remove the precut strips to open the areas for the bars.
