I have a Brand New Custom Splitter that I have been keeping in case I needed it as a spare. It is made from 3/16'' Lexan. I made 3 of these about 5 years ago and this one has just been collecting dust. 1- is still on my car which has been sold. 1- was traded to a friend of mine and he has never mounted it. So if you by this one you'll have 1 of 2 like it anywhere. Keep in mind this is made for the 1st Gen Aero Bumper.
Could probably be used on a 2nd Gen and or adapted to fit on a standard bumper with some spacers but I can't say for sure... As you can see it has the center section indented to kinda match the Aero Bumper and is then brake formed UP to follow the flow of the Aero Bumper Bottom, which is what it is mounted to... Mounts just like any other splitter. I used 9- 3/4'' long bolts with washers on both sides. I ordered the Splitter Braces from APR Performance in CA. No Mounting Hardware is included with splitter. Will be covered in Matte Black Vinyl and the front Edge Trim attached to it.

Nice piece. As I have never mounted a splitter how invasive is it to the original bumper? Lots of holes?

 

Pop the front bumper cover off. ( about 5-7 screws/push pins ) and flip it over and the splitter just mounts to the bottom flat area of it on either side of the Aero bumpers up mold area. I think I did use a spacer in the middle area so it would keep it from flexing up and down there at speed. Just the 9- 1/4'' holes in the bottom and no one will see that if down the road if you take the splitter off, unless of course they take the bumper cover off. I ran a standard flat splitter on my "S" bumper I put on my Non "S" car for years with no problems. Track days, auto x, etc. No troubles with it. You can not just zip screw the heck out of it from the bottom and expect it to stay on the car though...I used the same flat splitter on my aero bumper till I wanted something alittle different and made this one. Ran it for a few years till I sold the car. Again no problems at all and my car sat pretty low... You don't want to hit a curb with it as it will try to rip your bumper cover off as well. The bolts really hold it on there...
