So these bolt and plug right into a R53? They also work with the gen1 heaters and passenger occupancy sensor?

 

The conversion is 50% done. I made some quick adapters or brackets for the seats. Full function of height adjustment, forward and backward movement and recline is retained. I used resistors for the airbag and didn't hook up the heated seats yet. You reuse your seatbelt from the original seats and an occupancy emulator (eBay) for the passenger seat. I have the entire harness for the seats to make it easier to hook up everything and make it entirely reversible (airbag and heated seats). I haven't done it yet since I'm considering changing direction on seats.

 

Are these a direct bolt into the R56 Cooper S hatch?

 

No, they would require custom work to fit into an R56.
