R56s/R53 JCW brake set up 294mm rotor

10 Attachment(s)
This is a great upgrade brake set for r53. The calipers i purchased from a 2011 with only 9k miles on it which as well comes with "longer" brackets to fit bigger rotors (294m) on the r53. I then cleaned up everything and painted them with red and jcw decals. Brand new Stop tech stainless steel lines and brane new Raybestos brake pads. I just fit them on,but never have my car rolling. So everything is "new". I was gonna run this set,but need funs to rebuild my cylinder head;as a result, i will have to re-use the stock ones. Great update and value for those who want to have a better "braking power". Price is $380 shipped

Is this just the front wheels or is this for all 4 wheels?

PhoR53 09-03-2016 07:14 PM

Front wheels only. 80% braking occurs in the front

JaysinStrife 09-05-2016 12:37 PM

This will bolt straight up to the R53? What will need to be done once bolted up? Comes with discs as well?

PhoR53 09-05-2016 01:09 PM

Yes,bolt on. I can throw the rotors for free at no cost. You just need to bleed the brake system that's all

bavmotors 09-05-2016 02:01 PM

Bump for a good upgrade for the r53 cars

JaysinStrife 09-07-2016 06:37 PM

Are those cross drilled and/or slotted rotors?

PhoR53 09-07-2016 06:48 PM

Both, but these are used like 9k miles as the set. You want them i can throw them to you.

So just a point of reference, when needing updates and such I would order R56 parts correct? Pads/rotors/calipers?

PhoR53 09-07-2016 06:53 PM

Everything is new,so they will last for another 30k-40k miles depending on your driving condition. As for a "replacement". Rather you search everything under 2011 R56s for pads and rotors to get a better price than r53"jcw"

(says after 6/07 for these rotors but fit earlier prod cars with the 1st Gen JCW Brake kit ) It's only due to the diameter of the 4 lug bolt holes being cut to 14mm, IMO it should read for all years, but MINI is odd like that with parts sometimes.
