spare tire

We too dumped the rft's on 2012 Countryman and are looking for spare tire placement. Did you do this yourself? Your spare tire is full-size 205/70R16? I thought I'd need to use a "donut" spare. Is your spare anchored to the car? I have been warned that unless secured, spare tires can become projectiles in accidents.

when inflated its 205/70R16. Its not anchored to the car, its just sit very tight under trunk cover. Anyone who ditched RFT and has donut in the trunk has projectile in the trunk. My wife had tire, stroller, first aid kit etc in her trunk

This might be a far cry, but is this sold? Do you remember where you bought this?

Hi, wondering which spare you got and where? I measured up to a 19.7" diameter and 6" width will fit down below the cargo floor. Thanks!
