I have for sale a brand new carbon fibre hood scoop that I purchased for my R53 MINI a few years ago but never installed. It is therefore in new condition.
The orange spots in the photo are reflections - this scoop is unblemished.

It is purely a cosmetic replacement for the OEM body colored scoop. It doesn't add HP.
