*** Ohlins Road and Track w/ Vorshlag camber plates for KW v3 (or TSW spec) etc ****

Category: Suspension
Price: $1
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits (you may select multiples): R56
Location (Region): SoCal
Item Condition: Used

Looking to trade my Ohlins Road and Track (BMS MI20) with Vorshlag camber plates for a KW V3 or anything $$ comparable. It has about 2,000 freeway miles, never been tracked, in really good condition. The coilovers is still installed in my car. It comes with stock springs from Ohlins. I can add $ on top depending on the trade agreement.

WTT because I wanted to slam the mini lower than Ohlins will allow. Mid-life mod itch crisis without spending too much

PS** I will need the coilovers (from the trade) installed the day we make a deal. I can compensate with the installation cost. Redondo beach / Burbank area.

Why don't you get Hyperco coilover springs to lower it? I did that with my Ohlins. Not really worth it to get V3's in my opinion.

thanks for the input ra2. Hyperco will only give me the height I wanted in the rear. My front is almost all the way down already and springs wouldn't help (corner balanced and I'm 200+ lbs so I have that driver side gap I think lol). I'm running 17 / 215 / 45 -1.5 front and rear. It looks good and performs good. I just want to be 1/8" lower

I've been saying that from the very beginning. If you want to lose the wheel gap, you need to get shorter coilover springs.

Thanks for pix. Your mini looks good and those volk look sweet. do you have the part numbers (or the length) of the hyperco? The springs still sit on the perch when there is no load right? ie on jackstand. I dont have an aero kit and it does naturally look way higher IMO. I'll post a pix shortly.

Yes it still sits on the spring perches. You'll want to contact Battle Tuning about what springrates you want to go with though since I went a bit stiffer than what Ohlin provided. He has an account with them, so I just ordered directly through him, I'm sure wherever you are, you can find a local dealer that can help you purchase their springs, or directly I think if you just call them.

Both my fronts and rears are 6in coilover springs in 2.5" inner diameter. Springs were like ~$80 per, so keep that in mind. I spent $300+ for them.

Thank you! I will definitely look at my options.

Here is how the stock ohlins look on my car corner balanced, front left sits a tad higher than the passenger without me on the driver seat. It's not bad, i just want it lower a little bit.

Pic isn't that great to tell but I get the idea and yes it does sit high. Most track coilovers such as JRZ, Ohlin and V3 Challenge are meant for competition and are not meant to be slammed. That's not their purpose. I knew this going in and going with the shorter springs will help find that compromise of harsher ride because I went with stiffer springs and also by now being lower.

You shouldn't need to get V3's.

I'm gonna try out the stock springs to start. I like to drive my car hard, so we'll see if I need to go lower (even though I wanna..). Keep your Ohlins buddy!

You'll notice a bit of body roll but the ride will be nice. The Ohlins are what should have been how the MINI drove on from factory because they are super nice.
