New 2nd Gen Tool for carbon/walnut blasting, BMW Extraction Adapter 81292208038

Category: Drivetrain
Price: $70
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits (you may select multiples): R56, R57, R58, R59, R60
Location (Region): SouthEast
Item Condition: Brand New

I have an extra extraction adapter for cleaning the carbon off the intake ports on the newer turbo engines. This adapter is made by MINI and sucks up to your head after you remove the intake manifold. The black part hooks up to a shop vac hose and you stick the blaster nozzle in the through hole, this thing keeps all the blasting media(and your engine bay) cleaned up while you blast. I waited a long time to get one so I ordered a couple extra ones in case someone else didn't want to wait. Shipping is $8 to the lower 48. Let me know how I can help. That's why it's listed

OEM part number is:81292208038. Make me an offer, I still have a couple left

Cowboy, how are you blasting the media for this?

I'd be interested if I knew what materials I needed to get to perform this job.

Sure, There are some great writeups on here about the process. Search "DIY Engine Cleaning", there is a thread by that title with a wealth of info complete with detailed instructions in PDF form. Basically you need a simple blasting pot. 25# of crushed walnut shell blasting media and a few modified pieces along with this adapter. I actually have everything you'll need brand new and unused that I'd be happy to pass on. I got everything to do the project and when I pulled the intake, lo and behold I didn't need to clean it after all. You can get all the tools for $200-$300, a fraction of the cost of a dealer cleaning, I think I have less than $200 in mine. Let me know if you're interested in more than the adapter and I'll add my stuff up and give you a quote.

Still available, btw.

As well as the adapters, I want to get rid of them for less $ than anywhere else.
