I want to add a few comments about the vinyl. I already had the rings wrapped in vinyl and honestly they looked like crap after 12 months. Already starting to fade and also had a few chips in them. Buyer beware of the vinyl!!!

I only put vinyl over the half-moon washer piece. I used the black line trim ring being offered here. The washer piece can be easily snapped off\on the spring loaded plunger. Hanging on to it is the trick but no biggie. If you don't have the bi-Xenon option, you probably don't have a washer to be concerned with.
This seems like the best option! I wish MINI would offer the washer piece in the same black color. It deffinately would be a good seller. Just like you guys, i too am confused why they wouldnt offer it!

I would immediately re-purchase my third driver side headlight trim if there is any shipping discount. The last two have blown off on the highway never to be seen again. Snappy pieces on the driver side for some reason come loose. Probably super-gluing them next time haha.
