Anyone in Socal want to trade my 18" R113's for a set of 17's? I'd do a straight trade for 17" JCW R112's or OEM R98 Web Spoke, both in silver.

Here's the story:

I bought my Clubman S in August '12 with 27k on the clock. The JCW 18" R113's came with the car. 3 days after owning the car, i bent the front passenger wheel. I got it fixed and was fine. A week later, i find that the tire wasn't holding air so i replaced it and is brand new. The car currently has 31k miles on it and i bent and this time cracked the same wheel. Dealer is ordering me a brand new rim and the tire is fine. The rear passenger rim has some slight curbing. Driver's side wheels look good and the front passenger wheel is brand spanking new.

So here's what i'm proposing: Once i get the car back, i would like to see if anyone in the SoCal (LA/OC) area would like to do a straight trade with their 17's. Again, i'm primarily looking for the JCW R112's/OEM R98's in silver. Not interested in the other non JCW OEM wheels. Would also consider aftermarket wheels of similar quality/caliber. Just let me know what you have.

If i don't get any bites in about a week (1/14/13), i'm just gonna swap the tires for something with a taller sidewall and see how it goes and these will no longer be up for trade.

R112 JCW Challenge

 

If you're selling a set of either the R112's or the R98's let me know what you're asking price is. I might just buy them off you and keep my R113's for a special occasion

 

I'm selling my R98's.. 3 have a decent (~60% tread) Ventus v12's. I'm not sure if the tpms sensors are there as i don't believe (could be wrong) that they transfered to my aftermarkets. I'm ok with checking my own tires visually to see if i have to put air in them, so i've never really relayed on them.

Anyways, i'm letting them go with tires for $350. One has some curb, not too bad, but overall I would recommend refinishing the rims as they are from a used 2008 S and the previous owner didn't take care of them much.

I'm in Diamond Bar now.

 

Ok, let me see how it goes with a trade for mine. I'm trying to go for as little headache as possible since i'm already dealing with a cracked rim. Yours sound like they would need some work, but i may consider it. You're also close enough where i can swing by on a weekend to take a peek. I'll let you know.

After some discussion via PM, i've decided to keep my wheels and see how it goes. I'm still considering purchasing a set of R98's or R112's to possibly use down the line. laforze and noonzio, i'll keep you two in mind.

laforze - Can you check to see if that 4th tire is usable and if the set has TPMS in them?
