H&R Touring Cup Suspension R56 *Dampening Adjustable*
2 Attachment(s)
For sale I have a clean set of H&R Touring Cup Suspension, which where on Sketch's car for 19k miles, I bought them from him and only put about 20-50 miles on them as they sit too low in the front for my taste. (I put them on last weekend)
They are in great condition (except a little cosmetic wear on the lower struts as you can see in the pictures, does not affect mechanics at all). I found them surprisingly comfortable as they offer significant dampening adjustment. These are a great combination of struts & springs. (These are way more comfortable then the stock springs) *I AM INCLUDING THE OEM TOP HATS.* So all you have to do is pull out your stock suspension and put these in, so much less work! $400 OBO ship included within the US. They will be shipped in their original box with H&R documents. *These came off a 2010 R56, they probably will fit other MINIs however it is up to the buyer to find out or contact me before purchase. Thanks for looking! Please PM or e-mail me if interested. acoraccio@hotmail.com This is from Sketch's posting, I put them on and found it to be too much of a drop for my taste, I was hoping the touring cups would not be too low for me but they are, I have ordered a set of TSW springs that I am going to use on the stock struts, consequently I am selling this set and will box them up and ship them in the orig. box as he had sent to me. I am asking for less then I payed and include ship which is a great deal for anyone looking for more of a drop then just springs. Also he was right with the hats already on I was able to install these myself in the garage with just floor jacks. Thanks Tony |
Can you take a photo of how the car sits w these installed?

here is the different model numbers from the H & R webpage http://www.hrsprings.com/scripts/app...ind3&MakeID=27 2002-2006 31040T-1 2007-Up 31040T-3 if you go to that page it shows the different rates and drops for each model I would not suggest trying it unless somewhere on this site has direct experience to add |
If I knew for sure these would work on the Clubman I would be all over them. I am assuming that you have the 31040T-3 but the clubman is a 31040T-4. I cant find anyone who can verify how bad the rear would squat due to the extra wieght.

Only thing I can add is that the rear sits a little higher on the R56 with this kit, you can see from the pic that it has that kind of aggressive nose pointed down look, so having the rears sit a little lower might look better on the clubman It's up to you if you want to try it Tony |

Ok the buyer had to back out so these are still for sale
|
Come on you'all these allready have the hats on them which means no need for a spring compressor or messing with changing any of that out since it's allready done for you, makes for a simple swap, if that isn't worth the 400 with this kit I don't know what is
also got to remember whatever price you are looking at the ship cost is going to eat alot of it, I really don't think what I'm asking for these is unreasonable Tony |

ok once again these are back up for sale
|
They will not fit r53. The bolt pattern under hood is wider. And the rear bottom on r56 has big flange which isn't needed on r53
|
thanks for clearing that up Autox, I figured it wouldn't
|
Educate me on these. They are re-engineered to allow proper suspension travel even with the drop in height?

Yea, the valving on the shocks are mated with the correct springs, suppose to be an all in one replacement instead of mixing and matching different springs and shocks, but not on par with coilovers as far as adjustablility Tony |
Guys, someone should buy these. H&R make one of the best shock/spring kits. Had them on my GTI and they are superb. For $100/corner, that's cheap! GLWS.

Wish I had $400 to spend right now!
