How many inches did you lower the car with the set up in your pictures?

and why did you decide to use swift springs instead of the original ones?

sludge1300 08-01-2012 01:02 PM

I forgot to measure ride height while stock, but the BC's at their current setting had my ride height at 23.9" from ground to fender all the way around. This is the setup in my sig pic.

17x7 Enkei PF01 et45, Hankook V12 205-45-17. Didn't need spacers.

do you have a front view pic with this set up?

so you were almost maxed out in the rear?

sludge1300 08-01-2012 05:59 PM

This is the best I can do, tape measure has 1.5" of tape sticking out of the case.

Yes, it was almost all the way down in the rear. I'm not sure, but I think the relationship between actual drop and coil adjustment in the rear is not 1:1. I would imagine you could bring the back down another cm or so.

Oops, missed your other question. I went with Swift because many agree that they are of much higher quality. Improving both performance and ride. I also wanted to run higher spring rates than the included 7k front, 5k rear.

You can find lots of discussion on the subject in this thread:

iSUPR3ME: Sorry because you're probably way ahead of me, but I believe you would need to order some different camber plates in order to run these on an R53.

no I'm sorry lol, I just wanted to get a good picture of the BC drop because I just ordered myself a pair. but Im not too sure i am happy with the drop. I wanted to slam my car pretty low. -_-

sludge1300 08-01-2012 06:23 PM

Gotcha. Yeah, these definitely aren't the best for an all out slam. KW/ST can go a lot lower. I don't have experience with anything else though.

LOL

I was posting in the other post you have in the market section!... Taking offers?

sludge1300 08-03-2012 07:16 AM

Yeah, shoot me an offer. Shipping will probably be cheap to El Paso, so that'll help.

What is the adjustability on these, if any? Ride height, dampening, rebound, etc?

sludge1300 08-04-2012 04:39 PM

30 way combined rebound/compression knob, front camber, ride height and spring preload are all adjustable.

All the information you could want is in this thread:
