R50 trans problems please help

R50 trans problems please help

i have an 03 mini cooper about 107xxx on her, yesterday i was driving my car and got to a redlight , the light turned greem i put her in first started going went for second and its not there . pull into my job and throw it in neutral look for fluid leak but there isnt one, i cant find any gears now but where the stick usualy sits in neutral its some sort of a gear that willl let me move but i cant shift.. anyone think they know what this is..or dose this sound like a normal midland problem?

There were problems with the trans in the early models of the Cooper and, I believe, there was a recall for it. Check with your local dealership. The fix may not cost you anything.

thanks ill look into it. my go to guy says it seems like a shifter fork. but ill give mini a call
