Drive-N-Eat "Smashed Pumpikin Pie Run"
OK "MINImainiacs" here are the details for the "Drive-N-Eat" SMASHED PUMPKIN PIE RUN
(Hey, I figured I would come up with a name for it.)
Friday Evening October 23rd.
Meet at the Jackson Outlet Mall between 6:30 and 7:00 PM. (Exit 16 off I195, Rt 537) I have mapped out a run that is about 1 1/2 hours long thru the local country side. All back roads. And you might be surprised!
We will end up in Hightstown at Anthony's Chicken and Grill (or maybe Hamilton, we ain't sure yet).
Bring your radios!!

Hey guys - a couple of quick questions.
I'm currently still in my break-in period with my new mini - do you think I'll have any problems keeping up with you guys on this run?
Also, I need to go out and buy radios - any advise on what brand or such to get?
Thanks,
MEG

It will be a nice run, will be on the dark side, (evening) so I don't think we will be going that fast. I don't think you will have any problems keeping up with us, stay near the front of the group it is easier to follow. As for radio's I went with a Motorola with a 15 mile range, I got a two pack for about $30.00 at target or walmart, not sure which store. When buying a radio go for something with a long range, if you go on some of the mountain or twisty roads the longer the range the better. When a mountain or series of turns comes between you you will be glad for a longer range, I loose signal when in the mountains or on lots of twisties.

Meg, you will like this, but be warned, once you start motoring you won't want to stop., you might want to check out Phillymini.org great group of people and they have a few motoring events planned for this month. I have been a member for almost 2 years and have always loved the motoring events.

Yup! It's me. There's so much to do in October, but i'm trying to get to as many mini meet ups as i can. I'll definitely be at the Morristown event this week. Just moved to morristown, and still haven't seen the dealership here...
As for the Jackson meet this coming Friday. I'm probably not going to be able to make this one. I have too much stuff going on early Saturday morning.
I'm sure you guys will do this again. I certainly enjoyed the food at Anthony's so I'll be at one of these soon again.

Ok, went out for a dry run of the route this evening. No "destruction" along the route so we should be good unless the state decides to repave a road within the next week.
To recap: we will meet at the Jackson Outlet Mall on Rt537 (Great Adventure Exit off I195)
Date: This Friday Night, the 23rd.
Time:6:30 We will leave when everyone gets there, Hopefully by 7:00.
We should arrive at Anthony's Chicken and Grill in Hightstown around 8:15.
Corn Fritter anyone?

I am so bummed as I can't make it tomorrow night.
I've come down with a nasty cold/flu and don't see it getting better by tomorrow.
I hope that you all have a great time and I'll keep looking to see when I can make the next event.
