Install party, NC, Oct. 15th/16th

On the aforementioned dates I am heading up to Apex, NC to Mini03Tiger84's place to get his expert assistance on installing a Pulley, I think he mentioned he has a rear swaybar to put on and I also have a short shifter and spark plugs to hopefully put in.

Does anyone else want to get in on this? Got anything you need help installing? Anybody?

I would like to come for the party, but that is race weekend in CLT. I just added the rear sway bar to my o3 MCS. If you change dates, I'm there.

Hey...

I am interested in joining in on the party... I have an interest in installing a short shifter and a rear-sway bar, but have absolutely no expertise in doing so. So if someone is willing to offer a tremendous amount of assistance, I am interested! Just keep me informed...

Should I assume that Chris is well aware of this event at his house?

Just wondering...

I plain on ordering a rear sway bar/pulley/air filter& some type of brake stuff this weekend. The milltex exhaust for the conv. is not available quite yet.

So if I don't go to the beach next weekend, I will installing the parts then. So doing another sway bar wouldn't be a problem, shifter, would need some instructions.

Will be checking on this sight to see if the pulley party materializes, if not, i may be able to get an O.K. from my associate to let a non employee into the shop on the weekend to work with me on there car. Stumbling point would be liability if some one was injuried.

Thanks for the back up plan. If it does come down to it I would sign a waiver, If I get hurt it would be because of my own stupidity unless of course it wasnt my fault haha...but then again, no worries.

Guess I better chime in here... sorry for the delay, I'm in GA at my mother's and not checking internet too much.

Anyway... I'm good for Saturday the 15th as well as Sunday, but I think Saturday will be a better day.

I have installed short shifter before, so I can help out with that as well.

I'll check in later...

Hmmm... I've been debating on whether or not to go to Eurofest (since it cost $40+ for a tank-o-gas). I have a pulley, front rotors & front pads that need to be installed. Decisions, decisions.

Sunday the 16th

Looks like agile_moments can only come on Sunday. So, if everyone is open on Sunday as well, we can plan for that day. Oh... what do you know... the 3rd Sunday of the month; this is the usual day from a Raleigh M2C2 meeting anyway. Good timing!

I'll be around Saturday also, so if someone can't make Sunday come on by Saturday.

What the heck... I'll just make a whole week-end of it!

So... Sunday I'd be ready to get started around 9am. If agile_moments is driving in from VA, his car will need to cool off for a little while before starting on it. We can be working on other cars.

PM me for directions.

Count me in...

I will be there on Sunday...early! I will try to get my car there early on Sunday so I can get my stuff done while the other cars are still traveling so I can help other folks. I will order the parts tonight...

I hope that I am not pissing on others parades, if I am yell, and my feelings won't be hurt!

Well, I think we need to make this as easy as possible for Chris and his family...so why don't we coordinate this so we only have to burden him for one day! I am sure he has other stuff he needs to get done that weekend as well! If people are interested in a late Saturday event, let's see if we can plan it for then...or just a Sunday morn/afternoon.

Well, the only problem I see with a one day thing is getting everybody's stuff put in. I have a pulley and a short shifter. and if we have time a strut bar.

I'm sure we'll have enough hands there for multiple projects to go on at the same time. I'll be glad to help with other projects while I'm there. I'm not a master mechanic, but I've done all the mods on my cars myself.

Your STB should be no problem since it only takes a couple minutes to install (unless you have a CAI that needs to be modified).

Hey, I am installing a used rear sway, what type of grease should I get or should I just put zerks on the brackets?

You'll want to lube the entire bushings (including where it contacts the frame) before putting it on. The zerks are good for re-lubing later.

I've read different suggestions for lube like Energy Suspension lube or white lithium grease.
