Bad news for me

It looks like at the last minute I won't be able to make it. That does open an extra slot for someone else tho. Have fun and let us know how it goes.

Kart racing...

Thanks for setting up this event, Basset! It was a real blast! I hit more walls and other cars than anybody else! I deserve a special trophy for that.

Congratulations to our real ringers: Tim and Bull Horns--who outclassed us all. You know you're in trouble when they bring their own helmets. <G>

Special thanks also to Hendrick MINI and BMW Finance for the company and the special rate! Great guys all around.

Larry

You did a great job setting up your first big M2C2 event. It was enjoyed by all. I know you have experience setting up events with the MG club and it shows.

Thanks again to Ed Keady at Hendrick MINI and Kirby Howard from BMW MINI Financial Services for picking up a good part of our cost. It's great to have them support our club.

Thanks Larry, George, Ed and Kirby for a great event.

I've posted some photos on http://www.letsmini.com, they can be found by clicking here http://mybimmer.com/v-web/gallery/KartingDinner. The video needs some work because it's taking over 3 minutes to download using a cable modem

Everyone had a blast and I couldn't believe all the new faces. Way to go George with growing M2C2.

I haven't had that much fun in a long time! Thanks George for putting together such a great event! I've got a killer bruse on my back from sliding around in the seat so much! Totally worth it! See you all soon!

That was an absolute blast! I had so much fun out there meeting everyone and checking out everyone elses mini. Thanks to all that have made this happen, George, Ed from Mini, Kirby from BMW, and all the members who attended. I know I am hooked on go-kart racing now and future Mini events. I have a blister on my hand from holding on so tight. Good stuff.

Thanks again everyone
Tim

Yes... a big thanks to all that made the event happen. I had a great time.

I also want to give a bigger thanks to Hendrick MINI of Charlotte for providing financial assistance for the karting fees. That was a nice surprise. Who said membership doesn't have it's privledges.

Motor on...

Were sorry you missed the event also, as we had room for 2 more people.

The best way to keep up with club events is to join M2C2.
http://www.m2c2.org/membership.php

We send a newsletter out to our members once a month updating them on club events. If you are in the area stop by Hendrick MINI some Saturday morning and say hello.

I see that you have started your own Mustang Club, maybe you could give us some insight with our club.

Hope to see you soon.

Thanks
George

I have to say I've never seen or received a newsletter. Maybe I've gotten an email once or twice, but I don't know.

Somehow, I must have slipped through the cracks, and am not getting said newsletters.

Can I begin receiving those?

Much appreciated!

I sent you a private email pertaining to the email address we have on file for you. All members are mailed out on a monthly basis the M2C2 newsletter via email. If any club member is not receiving the newsletter, then they need to submit to me their current email account so that I can match it up with the one on file.

I have also made it a habit to include the words M2C2 in the subject of the heading with the hope that this will attract folks attention and that they will not delete the email.

Again, if anyone is a member and they are not receiving the monthly newsletter or occassional event notice, please email me.

Can someone remind me next time to get the extra padding for the seat? I have 2 big bruses on my shoulders (especially the left one), and a tight left quad from being thrown around the seat for 2 hours! A great reminder of how much fun I had. Thanks again to everyone, and it was a pleasure meeting you all. See you soon.

Thanks Debiw! You cured me! (I tried to reply privately, but it says you need to delete some stuff before you can receive any more replies...)

Oh the pain...

My first M2C2 event was a blast-feeling serious pain today though. Fun times.. thanks for organizing the event.

No bruises here Craig, just a blister that has been popped like 3 times. Fun for sure. Once this heals craig we are going again for sure.

I was not as sore yesterday as I am today! I had a good time but that stuff sure punishes the body. I vote that if we do this as a club event again, we group or handicap by age (and physical condition) As hard as I tried, I could not keep up with the younger guys. I saw the "let someone faster pass you flag" so many times, I was looking for it on the drive home! Next time, I will only race against guys in the 50+ range! (Hey, if they have a senior tour for golf, why not for karting also??) Maybe I would have a better chance keeping up with other (soon to be) senior citizens like myself!! But I was actually pleasently surprized I was able to tough it out and do as well as I did.

We also need to have a weight handicap we can't have those skinny guys and girls pulling away from us...Jody at VLK said 10 lbs is worth a tenth of a second and I weighed 50lbs + more than some of the others, it all adds up Sue thinks I need to loose the weight and quit complaining...

Yes, serious fun! I think some of those bruises came from me hitting you a time or two, and I got plenty of bruises from lambasting the walls.

I hope to see you around at upcoming events!
