Well, we've got King's Dominion and Busch Gardens in VA, Carowinds in NC, Six flags over GA, and of course Disney in FL, which I think something is planned later this year down there.

I'm game for any of these

I'm game too.... short drive to Six Flags or long drive to VA... doesn't matter as long as I have MINI owners to hang out with

I wonder which park would be most open to giving us some special priveldges.

 

All four of us from the DC club who went to King's Island were talking about a similar trip to Busch Gardens in VA. We're trying to get more people involved this time (a club trip instead of just a couple people from the club trip).

Haven't been to Carowinds in years but I don't remember it being the prettiest park around. I will check their website though
Haven't been to any of the others

Maybe we should peek on their websites for group events and discounts.

 

Hello from the only Wisconsin attendees! Nice meeting some of you! Bummed we were late in getting to Skyline on Friday...but made it up by staying until Midnight Saturday and riding IJ 4 times in a row...definately better at night! Our gallery has more pics from PKI/IJ.

 

JennB: Make it sometime in late Sept and I'm there. I vote for Six Flags (because they have lots of Looney Tunes stuff and I can get some Tweety items)

CmdrVimes: A few weeks back I asked MiniMom if the Atlanta MINI's were going to have a Six Flags day. She said that she would bring it up at one of their meetings. I've not heard back from her yet but will ask about it again.:smile: Where'd you get your "Actual Size" decal? I covet it.

 

I don't know if it will end up being a significant portion of the club or what, but there are at least 4 of us some far (the same 4 from PKI) that are discussing another amusement park visit. If we come up with anything more definite I'll keep you guys posted.

As for the "Actual Size" decal...
There is a guy on NAM who goes by the nickname "DragonSlayer" who makes they up periodically and sends them out to people who request them. I believe he is a member of the Desert Rat Pack (Arizona Club). You can get them either by sending a SASE or send a donation via PayPal.

Well if it ends up at Six Flags... I can gladly help with organizing and finding hotels for people... I even have a very large amount of floor spaces for air matresses and parking for MINIs

 

How about making a new thread for other meets? :smile: I was not able to go to the PKI event because I had tickets to the Saturday round of the US Open but otherwise I would have been there. I just happened to read this thread to see how good of a time I missed. I'm sure there are others that would go to another meet that missed this one as well.

Hi Gang,

First of all, Trainmama and I are back.. Oz now has 1,667 miles more on his odometer and 10 states under his tread than he had a week ago..
States and distances covered:
(Friday) Easley SC to Mason OH, 445 miles, 7 hrs driving time : SC, NC, TN, KY, OH in the company of 17 other MINIs for part of the way, 8 for the rest.
(Monday) Mason OH to Southhaven MS (Just south of Memphis) 516 miles, 9 hrs driving time (stuck in traffic for 1): OH, KY,IN,TN,MS
(Wednesday) Southaven to Easley with a 1 1/2 hour stop in Tupelo, 530 miles, 8 hrs driving time, MS,AL,GA,SC
Where's the 10 state? After visiting Graceland, we took a side trip across the Mighty Mississippi River on Tuesday afternoon to AK. Now I can say I've driven across it!!
