Spring Picnic - April 23
Mr. Cooper,
Thanks, as of right now chips are in short supply, but I will give you a definite answer after I get a final headcount and PM the people who haven't volunteered for something!
This is going to be an awesome picnic! Oh, when I get a few extra minutes on the weekend, I'm going to head up to Mount Pilot to see exactly where we will be and that will let me know about the game status! I know that she said it was in a rocky area, so I'll just have to wait and see what's it's like when I get there!

I also like the idea of a before picnic drive. I'm not sure if I will make the drive or not - I'll let you know as it gets closer.
Michelle - You're doing a great job!!!!!
Thanks for all your hard work!

Picnic Location
I just got off the phone with Robin Bennett at Pilot Mountain. Our picnic area is located on the mountain side of the park! I will post directions later, but it looks really nice. We have the only picnic area on that side of the park!! The bathrooms are not far either! There's a look out point (not that kind of point Ed!
) and all that!
I'll be heading up when it gets nicer out and scope it out!!! I'm really excited about this!!!!! I'm going to attach a map in JPEG format, hopefully you all can view it...if not, check out their web page, they have links there! I've tried to draw on it with color, but paint won't let me. Just look at the mountain side!!! Lawn darts may be a problem on the mountain side!
I'll figure out some games!
Michelle
P.S. Before you all panic, the file was too large to add....hmmm...what to do now! ACK!!!
Stupid computers!

George shared some great news with me yesterday!
Ed Keady, the manager of Hendrick MINI of Charlotte, has offered to contribute $200 toward some of the expenses of the Spring Picnic. Ed is an M2C2 member and an enthusiastic supporter of our club. He keeps a list of all new MINI owners who purchase through his dealership and has offered to notify them of the Spring Picnic. Expect plenty of new faces and a great time!!!!

Hey guys, since March is around the corner, I wanted to get the feelers out and this bumped back up to the top of the list to spark old and new interest!
I need to know no later than March 31 who will be attending and what you will be bringing. If you are unsure I will let you know what we are in short supply of and you can decide then.
I will also need to know who is bringing their kids and their ages, and if they are a boy or girl. I will be doing door prizes for adults and children, and I wanted to make sure that all the kids had a prize of some sort! Don't want any kids with feelings hurt.
Twister, I already know of your girls coming!
So please check the first post and let me know if you will be coming, or make sure that I have you down with the appropriate number of guests!!
Again, I'm looking forward to a great time of mingling with old friends and making new ones!

Does anyone know of anyone who does face painting? You gotta admit, it would be cool for everyone to have a MINI Cooper painted on their face. If you know of anyone, let me know and about how much they charge! Maybe one of our wonderful MINI Club Members has the talent!

time coming close - RSVP Reminder
Okie dokie guys, just a post to bump this up to the top and a reminder that I will need all people who plan to come to RSVP to me no later than April 6. Also, for those of you who won't be able to make it and have said that you were coming, please let me know that as well. The attendance list is the first post of this thread, so please check out the post to see if your name is on the list. I will be purchasing the food probably the friday before the picnic.
I will be getting some drinks, but if everyone could bring what they like as well, that would be great!
Twister and Audioman have been working on a drive that will be about an hour and half starting time is approximately 10:30, but that is always subject to change. Please let Twister know if you plan to attend the drive so he knows who he needs to keep and eye out for.
(A new thread will be started for this drive so Twister can keep up with the drivers.)
I'm looking forward to a good time to be had by all. This is a great opportunity to meet new people and mingle with old friends alike!

Do you plan on attending the drive? I was wanting to have the plates and all set up prior to everyone arriving. If you are, I'll be there about 10:30 to pick up items people don't want in their cars during the drive. If you could meet me there so I can take those up with me if you are doing the drive, that would be great. Thanks.
Michelle
